The Fort Drum Directorate of Contracting intends to award a firm fixed price contract (W911S2-08-P-0167) on a sole source basis to Aerospace Optics Inc. The statutory authority permitting other-than-full-and-open competition is FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1) soliciting from a single source, and is based on only one vendor capable of providing the requested switches. The AH-64D VUIT program exclusively incorporated these switches with respective enclosures and wiring schematics. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and awarded under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued based on this notice. The size standard for the NAICS Code is 500 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest in, and capability to respond to, the requirement by submitting documentation indicating their capabilities and qualifications to perform this effort to the identified point of contact no later than 12:00PM EST, 2 July 2008. The information received will be considered solely for informational purposes and the Government will not pay for such information received. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract will be based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the government.
