The Government of Ukraine has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Rural Land Titling and Cadastre Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Computer and Office Equipment for Educational Institutions. The State Committee of Ukraine for Land Resources now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Contract No. DKZ-C-ICB.8.70 for supply of Computer and Office Equipment for Educational Institutions.

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, published by the World Bank January 1995 and revised January and August 1996, September 1997 and January 1999, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the Project Implementation Unit of the State Committee of Ukraine for Land Resources at the address (1) below during office hours 10:00 to 17:00 local time. A complete set of bidding documents in English or in Ukrainian may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address (1) below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 50 (fifty) US dollars or equivalent in Ukrainian hryvnas (UAH) at the rate of the National Bank of Ukraine as of the date of payment. The bidding documents may be collected at the office of Project Implementation Unit at the address (1) below upon submitting bidder authorization and a copy of the payment order or, alternatively, may be sent by courier to the address stated in written inquiry submitted by the bidder together with the copy of the payment order by fax or mail.

Bids must be delivered to the address (1) below at or before 15:00 on August 19, 2008. All bids must be accompanied by bid security of respective amount: for 60’000 (sixty thousand) Hryvnyas or an equivalent amount in the currency of the Bid at the NBU exchange rate (http://www.bank.gov.ua) on the date 2 (two) weeks before the bid submission date. In case that no exchange rates are available on this date from the source indicated above, the latest available exchange rates from the same source prior to this date will be used. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address (2) below at 15:15 on August 19, 2008.
