DVA acquires advisory services to assist in a range of activities and to meet its commitment to providing high quality, cost effective health care services to entitled persons through the provision of quality clinical and professional advice and information to DVA. Advisers contribute to DVA's ability to efficiently make accurate determinations in relation to treatment requests, entitlement validation and the assessment of the performance of contracted providers. They may also be required to support the development and delivery of community programs and to provide clinical / professional input into policy development processes.
