RFT-Construction Work at Pancake Bay Provincial Park

MERX Abstract for RFT# OSS-076715

The Ontario Shared Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources (“MNR”), invites tenders for construction work at Pancake Bay Provincial Park, located on Hwy 17 approximately 80 km north of Sault Ste. Marie or 140 km south of Wawa, Ontario.

The Work is as follows (but not limited to):
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MODEL 90-5S-L COMFORT STATION & ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM @ PANCAKE BAY PROVINCIAL PARK, (Architectural Project No. 28024 & Environmental Project No. 28010)

The Work will commence approximately September 2, 2008 and be completed no later than June 1, 2009.

The tender timetable is:
Issued:                 June 27, 2008
Mandatory Site Meeting:         July 10, 2008 @ 10:00 a.m.

Bidder's Deadline for Questions:    July 16, 2008 @ 5:00 p.m.
Deadline for Issuing Addenda:    July 18, 2008 @ 5:00 p.m.

Tender Submission Deadline:     July 25, 2008 @ 2:00:00 p.m.

The successful Contractor shall arrange, pay for and execute:

•    a “Performance Bond” and a “Labour and Material Bond”, each in the
amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Total Bid Price contracted for in
the standard approved format;
or
•    an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, equal to one hundred percent (100%)
of the Total Bid Price contracted for, with an established Guarantee
Company or Chartered Bank satisfactory to and approved by the
Crown;
or
•    a certified cheque, money order, or bank draft payable to the ‘Minister
of Finance’ in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the
Total Bid Price contracted for.

There will be no remuneration to any Bidder for any costs incurred for the preparation and submission of their Tender.
