USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to FEI Company, 5350 NE Dawson Creek DR, Hillsboro, OR, 97124-5793 to furnish and deliver one NOVA630 NanoSEM System for the purposes of studying chemical and physical properties of concrete and other materials on the microscopic level. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees.

The Government intends to procure from only one source under the FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures Per FAR 13. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist within eleven (11) days of the date of this synopsis.
