ORGANICS COLLECTION AND COMPOSTING

Bidders are asked to submit proposals for an organic food waste collection and composting program for Wilfrid Laurier University, for the period of August 1, 2008 to July 30, 2010, with an option to extend for one additional year.

This is a new initiative for the University and as such the number of containers required at this point is not firm. The University will work with the successful contractor to establish the efficient number of 64 gallon toters needed. Initial estimates are for 24 toters with 72 pickups per week. Organic food waste will include meat and bones.

Wilfrid Laurier University, a growing institution, purchasing and building new locations, reserves the right, at the sole discretion of the University, to add University-owned, additional downtown locations, or to add either the Brantford or Kitchener campuses to the location schedule.
