Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) request tenders from Prime
Contractors for the provision of the following:
a. Secure Satellite Position Reporting Terminals on board approximately
270 Irish Fishing Vessels exceeding 15 meters in overall length.
b. Satellite Communications Services enabling the terminals to transmit
position reports and other data to the Irish Vessel.
Monitoring System(VMS) from whereever the vessel operates.
c. Terminal installation at a number of Irish ports to be completed by the
end of November 2008.
d. Warranty to cover maintenance and repair for a period of 3 years with
an option for a further 2 years.
e. Upgrade of existing FPS back office application to facilitate
integration of new secure terminals.
