Janatha Estates Development Board (JEDB) under the Ministry of Public Estate Management and Development (MPEMD), with the facilitation of Strategic Enterprise Management Agency (SEMA) is taking many initiatives to optimize the resource utilization is its plantations, six (06) sites of water falls and streams within the plantation with Hydro Electricity Generation capacity ranging from 0.5MW to 3MW have been identified to electrical power generation projects.
Within the background the Chairman JEDB intends to pre-qualify firms to implement the above Mini Hydro-Power projects to supply electricity to CEB National Grid on Build Operate Leased- owned and Income sharing basis.
The Pre-qualification documents (PD) in English Language can be purchased from JEDB Head Office by interested applicants on the submission of a written application address below and non-payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 35007 = in cash during office hours from 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. from 01st July 2008 to 15th July 2008.
Application completed as stipulated in the Pre-qualification Documents must be sent by Registered Post or hand delivered and obtain an acknowledgement for receipt to the address . below on or before 31st July 2008 before 2.30 p.m. Applications will be opened immediately after closing time.
Applicants or their representatives will be permitted to be present at the time of opening of the applications.
Chairman JEDB is not responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by applicants in connection with the preparation or delivery of their applications.
Decision of the Board of JEDB regarding the selections would be final
Chairman JEDB will notify the applicants, the names of those applicants who have been qualified
Applications may also be inspected free of charge at the above address
