The US Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, has a requirement for services for the Improved Heating Technology (IHT) for the Unitized Group Ration Express. The goal of the IHT TTI is to seamlessly transition new heater technology into on-going UGR-E procurement and eliminate or substantially reduce the operational, transport, and storage restrictions attributed to hydrogen by-product of the current heater and thereby foster expanded operational use by the Military Services. The Government intends to award multiple Firm Fixed Price Contracts based on the proposals submitted for review. The Unitized Group Ration Express (UGR-E) is a compact self contained module that provides a complete hot meal for 18 soldiers. With a pull of a tab, food is heated in 30-45 minutes and is served in trays to soldiers like a cook-prepared meal. The requisition number for this acquisition is W91A2K-8157-9020. This acquisition will be issued using Full and Open Competition under FAR 6.102. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325998. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 2899 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination and inspection and acceptance shall be at destination by the cognizant receiving authority. Period of Performance will be Twelve (12) months from Contract Award.
