TACOM LCMC, Warren, MI intends to enter into contract W56HZV-08-D-0172 with Caterpillar Defense & Federal Products, Peoria, IL for RESET of government-owned Caterpillar construction equipment to include the High Speed Compactor, 130G Grader, Vibratory Roller, DEUCE, D7F, D5B, D9 and D8K Dozers and 613C Water Distributor. The estimated quantity of vehicles to be RESET is 275. The total estimated value is $26.3 million. The contract will be a four year requirements type contract. The RESET will be for theatre provided equipment (TPE) located in Iraq and Afghanistan. A RESET program consists of repairing vehicles to fully mission capable standards and repairing any delayed desert damage. Negotiations will be conducted on a sole source basis (using alpha contracting procedures) with Caterpillar Defense & Federal Products, Peoria, IL. No solicitation will be issued.
