Bid Security of Rs. 200,000.00.
1) The Chairman, University Procurement Committee On Behalf Of The University Of Peradeniya invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Proposed Extension to the New Arts Building Stage! V Finishing Work (Ground Floor Only) At Faculty of Arts University of Peradeniya for which the total estimated cost is Rs. 12.0 million.
2) Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedures.
3) To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall meet the following requirements. ICTAD Registration MS/C6 or higher.
4.) Requirements to qualify for contract award include:- 1) Key Technical Personnel at site - N.D.T. qualified with minimum 5 years experience one person, 2) Financial - Annual turnover not less than Rs. 15 million, 3) Other requirements - Availability of an office for the staff with computer facilities and other necessary construction equipment and machines
5) Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Works Engineer of the University of Peradeniya and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below:- "Deputy Registrar, Capital Works Unit

6) A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Deputy Registrar, Capital Works Unit, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya from 19th June 2008 until 10th July 2008 from 09.00 a.m. to 03.00 p.m. upon payment of a ndn-refundable fee of Rupees Three Thousand (3000/ =) to the shroff of this University by cash
7) Bids shall be delivered to the Registrar, University of Peradeniya at 10.00 a.m. on 11th July 2008 or before. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the bidders representatives who choose to attend.
8) All bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of Rs. 200,000.00. obtained from the recognized bank valid for period of hundred and twenty (120) days.
9) A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held in the Committee Room of University of Peradeniya at 3.00 p.m. on 3rd July 2008 for bidders to get clarified any obscurities of the Tender Document.
