RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES

The Public Guardian and Trustee for the Province of Ontario, Canada, is responsible for the management of the financial affairs of incapable adults and the administration of estates of persons who die without a Will in Ontario. The Ottawa Regional Office requires the services of a Property Manager to provide property management and related services for a three-year term, with the possibility of extension for up to 2 additional years, for approximately 73 properties (primarily residential) in the City of Ottawa and throughout the Regions and Counties of Renfrew, Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox/Addington, Frontenac, Lanark, Leeds/Grenville, Ottawa-Carleton, Stormont/Dundas/Glengarry and Prescott/Russell. The services required include initial and annual property inspections, repairs, securing property, and on-going maintenance which includes, but is not limited to: arranging for repair work, lawn cutting, snow removal and other general maintenance services.

The Property Manager will be accountable for all services provided. The individual or firm, must have local services available to respond in a timely manner to all property management needs. The applicant must have insurance coverage, as listed in the Request for Proposals, in effect or demonstrate the eligibility for coverage, proof of which must be included in the bid.

Other requirements include: Demonstrated experience in property management and demonstrated ability to cover geographic region, industry knowledge and experience in repairs, maintenance and property management, availability on short notice, language and communication skills; ability to submit information electronically, and experience in providing services to elderly, infirm or mentally incapable individuals.
