will provide specialist impartial guidance, advocacy and brokerage on
behalf of the young offender. Forward planning of transition arrangements,
will take place which includes key partnership working with all internal
and external providers and partners.
The service will provide specialist Assessment Testing to include Genysis
testing with learners in the Young Offender College. This service tests
potential and ability to learn levels and identifies careers interest
areas targeted specifically to the individual needs and abilities. The
test will be offered to all young offenders attending the Young Offender
College as part of the internal induction process, setting the tone for
learning within the establishment. This will further support the Young
Offender upon release offering clear guidelines through the guidance
feedback process and accessibility to learning and Resettlement
opportunities upon release.
