1) The Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee on behalf of the Department of Irrigation will receive sealed bids from Manufacturers or their authorized Local Dealers for the Supply of following Machinery and Equipment under International Competitive Bidding Procedure (ICB).
2) Source of funding is Government of Sri Lanka, 3) Bidding documents will be issued from 24th June 2008 to 05th August 2008 on normal working days from 9.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs, 4) Bidding documents can be purchased from the office of Chief Accountant, Ministry of Irrigation & Water Management, No. 11, Jawatte Road, Colombo - 05, Sri Lanka on submission of a request on Company Letterhead and paying a Non-refundable fee of SLR 5000.00 and SLR 3000.00 for each package 01, 02 and 03 respectively.
5) Bid shall be valid till 06th November 2008 and Bid Security shall be valid till 05th December 2008.
6) Bid shall be submitted together with Bid Security for the value mentioned against each Lot on a prescribed format. Any Bid submitted without a bid security as required will be considered as non-responsive and will be rejected.
7) Manufacturers Authorization letter on prescribe format must be submitted together with Bid.
8) All pages of the Bidding document shall be signed by the bidder and affixed his seal.
9) Bidders are allowed to Bid for all packages or Single package or either Lot 01 and / or Lot 02 and / or Lot 03 in each package.
10) Completed Bids shall be either deposited in Tender Box kept for this purpose at Chief Accountants Room or sent by Registered Post to address mentioned below. The sealed cover in which the Bid is enclosed should be marked with the LFB No. of the Bid and Description of the Supply, as the case may be at top left hand corner of the envelope.
11) Bids will be closed on 07th August 2008 at 14.30 Hrs. (2.30 p.m.) and opened immediately after the closing at the Chief Accountants Room. Late bids will be rejected and returned to respective Bidders unopened.
