This is a pre-solicitation notice for a Request for Quotation for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision to restore the exteriors and interiors of four structures at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore near Munising, MI. Work will require carpentry repairs involving historic structures and materials, roofing with historic reproduction shingles and painting of identified buildings.planned includes completing the restoration of the Au Sable Light Station by restoring the interiors and exteriors of HS-14, brick privy; HS-15, brick privy; HS-16, fog signal building; and HS-17, boat house. Repairs planned include tuck pointing, metal repairs, repainting metal and wood components, and repairs to architectural trim.The NAICS Code is 238990. The small business size standard is $13.0 million. The estimated price range of the project is between $25,000 and $50,000.This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. The solicitation with drawings, specifications, bid schedule and wage rates will be posted to the website http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://idease.nvc.gov on or about July 8, 2008.
