The Fleet Readiness Center East, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for 1 each Zscanner and control station. The government intends to procure this Zscanner and control station on a sole source basis from Z Corporation, DBA: Z Printer, 32 2nd Ave Ste 1, Burlington, MA, cage code 1PZ11. Z Corporation has designed and developed the Zscanner and control station and retains proprietary rights. The 3D scanner can scan aircraft skin panels located on top of aircraft. The scanner can not rely on any sort of fixed device to track its position such as a tripod or a base unit on the ground. The scanner should be able to accurately scan the aircraft even if the aircraft is moving. The scanner can not be unwieldy to operate and should not weigh more then 10lbs. Accuracy of the scanner should be at least 60 microns and the resolution should be at least 80 microns. Z Corporation's scanner is the only one we have found that will accomplish the above requirements.
