Description	The Australian Antarctic Division has a requirement to design and construct a towed proof roller that simulates 125% of the wheel loads of an Airbus 319 aircraft at Maximum Take Off Weight. The roller will be towed by Caterpillar or Case tractors at speeds of less than 10kph. The roller will be shipped to Antarctic in the 2008/09 summer and the tare weight of the roller shall not exceed 25000 kg. The roller shall have four wheels in a dog trailer configuration with the weight of the roller and the ballast weights applying a load of 22 tonne on each wheel.

Conditions for Participation	** Tenderers to note: Tender documents identify a tender close date of 27th June. Tender close date has been extended to 4th July 2008 @ 2pm hrs local time The supply of Services is to be provided in accordance with the Statement of Requirement (SoR) at Attachment A of the RFT, associated technical drawings (Drawing No 1/08/04 and Drawing No 9413-16) and subject to the terms and conditions set out in, or referred to, in RFT 08/89 Proof Roller.Neither the lowest or any tender may necessarily be accepted. The AAD reserves the right to abandon or terminate any aspect of the RFT at any stage if it is not in the public interest to proceed. Late tenders will not be accepted and Tenders forwarded by facsimile or email may not be accepted. Tenderers should note that the Draft Services Agreement is indicative of standard terms and conditions that will form the basis of a formal agreement only and any contractual arrangement with a preferred tenderer will be subject to change. The AAD reserves the right to consider alternative terms and conditions of contract.
Timeframe for Delivery	The roller shall be delivered to the AAD's Cargo Operations Facility at Macquarie Wharf No 4 Wharf in Hobart, Tasmania by the 5th December 2008.
