Main site or location of works: Dover Castle, Kent, England, UK.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): English
Heritage are beginning a major project to re-present the interiors of the
Great Tower at Dover Castle, creating room settings which evoke the
character and atmosphere of these spaces as they may have appeared during
the 12th Century. Part of this work will involve creating furniture,
textiles, metalwork (tableware and light fittings etc) and wall paintings
on canvass. These artefacts are to be created to research led- designs
prepared by a lead designer.
The contract will be split into the following Lots :
Lot 1 - Furniture. Lot 2 - Textiles Lot 3 - Metalwork. Lot 4 - Wall
Paintings on Canvas.
The project is due to be completed by 26th June 2009.

III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: A performance bond may be
required, or a parent company guarantee in the case of a subsidiary
company.
III.1.2) Main financing conditions and payment arrangements and/or
reference to the relevant provisions regulating them: Payments will be
accordance with the standard terms of payment detailed within the tender
documentation.
III.1.3) Legal form to be taken by the group of economic operators to
whom the contract is to be awarded: No special legal form is required but
in the case of combined or consortium bids, each service provider will be
required to become jointly or severally liable.

III.2) CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
III.2.1) Personal situation of economic operators, including requirements
relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers: Information and
formalities necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: Suppliers
expressing an interest in this tender must complete a prequalification
questionnaire which will be available on written or e-mailed request from
the address in I.1.3. On the basis of responses to the questionnaire
English Heritage will select suppliers who will be invited to tender.
Prequalification questionnaires must be requested no later than 21st July
2008 and returned by 25th July 2008.

and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. The date
given in IV.3.5 is an estimate only.

VI.4) PROCEDURES FOR APPEAL
VI.4.2) Lodging of appeals: Precise information on deadline(s) for
lodging appeals: English Heritage will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar
day standstill period at the point information on the award of the
contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful
tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before
the contract is entered into. Applicants have 2 working days from
notification of the award decision to request additional debriefing and
that information has to be provided a minimum of 3 working days before
expiry of the standstill period. Such additional information should be
requested from the address in 1.1.
