Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee, will receive sealed Bids on behalf of the Ceylon Electricity Board, from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of Ten Nos. Brand New Four Wheel Drive (4 WD) Double Cabs for Generation Division of Ceylon Electricity Board, up to 1000 hrs. on Wednesday 16th July 2008. Bids should be submitted only on documents purchased from theCEB.
The eligible bidders shall be accredited agents for reputed manufacturers of Double Cabs and shall be registered as per the Companies Act. The bidders shall register themselves with the Registrar of Public Contracts for this bid as per the Public Contracts Act No. 3 of 1987.
Double cabs shall be diesel powered right hand driven. Additional details with the technical specifications are provided in the Bidding Document. The Brand New Double Cabs shall be delivered within a period of three months from the date of offer.
The Bidding documents, may be purchased by any interested Bidders or their nominated agents on submission of a written application to the Additional Genera] Manager (Generation), Generation Head Quarters, Ceylon Electricity Board, New Kelani Bridge Road, Kolonnawa, and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2500/ = per document in cash or bank draft in favour of the General Manager, Ceylon Electricity Board between 0900 hrs and 1500 hrs on any working day till 15th July 2008. An information copy could be purchased at a cost of Rs. 1000/ =-. Bid documents may be inspected at the office of the Additional General Manager (Generation), free of charge.
Bids addressed to Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee may be sent through registered post or could be deposited in the Box provided for this purpose, at the office of the Deputy General Manager (RE Projects & Procurement), Ceylon Electricity Board, 7th Floor, No. 50, Sir Chittampalam A. Gardiner Mawatha, Colombo 2 at or before 1000 hrs on 16th July 2008. Late Bids shall be rejected.
All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Rupees One million. Bids will be opened at the Auditorium, 7th Floor, CEB immediately after the closing time of the Bids, in the presence of Bidders and/or their authorised representatives.
