Pre-Qualification for General Contractors, Mechanical, Electrical sub-contractors and Structural Steel Fabricators

Georgian College is looking for submissions from General Contractors, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Steel Sub-Contractors interested in tendering work on a 16,000 Sq.Ft. 5.5 M building to be constructed at the Barrie Campus located at One Georgian Drive, Barrie, Ontario, Canada

All Contractors are asked to submit their interest for the pre-qualification in a sealed, clearly marked envelope, plainly marked as to contents in their areas of interest, Pre-Qualification for General, Mechanical, Electrical, & Structural Steel.

All Contractors interested in pre-qualifying are to submit the following documentation to be reviewed and evaluated by the College:

•    Completed CCA Document No. 11 Form - 1996 edition.
•    Resumes of management to be assigned to project.
•    Letter of Assurance from your Bonding Facility (Surety Company)
indicating they are prepared to provide bonding as follows: 50%
Performance Bond and 50% Labour and Materials Payment Bond as
well as a 10 Bid Bond.
•    Proponent shall indicate if there is any pending litigation involving the
pre-qualifying firm.

Tenders will be invited from the list of pre-qualified Contractors and Sub-Contractors only. A maximum of 8 Contractors will be selected for each category. The prequalification process will include an assessment of previous performance in a number of areas, included by not limited to: work of similar scope and size, scheduling, project management, workmanship, final completion, correction of deficiencies and Health and Safety.

Facsimile submissions will not be considered. Submissions received after the closing deadline will not be considered formal.

The College reserves the right to select only those Contractors which the College
deems suitable and qualified to undertake this project. Only Contractors deemed
qualified to perform on the project will receive tender documents. The College reserves the right to reject, with cause, any or all submissions.
