II.1) DESCRIPTION

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The
Construction contract comprises the new-build of a special educational
needs primary school for children with profound multiple difficulties
(PMLD) and autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) with related landscape works.
The school will provide nursery, key stages 1 and 2 education for 80
pupils. The construction contract is a new build school on 2 floors total
area approximately 2 740 m². External hard and soft landscaping will also
be included in the works. Construction work. Construction work for school

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: The contract is intended to be awarded
in Spring 2009 with the work commencing on site in Summer/Autumn 2009 for
completion in 65 weeks.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 9 500 000 GBP.

III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT

VI.4.2) Lodging of appeals: Precise information on deadline(s) for
lodging appeals: The LB of Lambeth will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar
day stand-still period at the point information on the award of the
contract(s) is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful
tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before
the contract is entered into. Applicants have 2 working days from the
notification of the award decision to request additional debriefing and
that information has to be provided a minimum of 3 working days before the
expiry of the stand-still period. Such additional information should be
provided from the contact in part I.1 If an appeal regarding the award of
the contract has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts
Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No.5) provide for aggrieved parties who have
been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action
in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action
must be brought promptly (Generally within 3 months). Where a contract has
not been entered into, the Court may order the setting aside of the award
decision or order the authority to amend any document and may award
damages. If the contract has been entered into, the Court may only award
damages.
