PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Replace two wooden decks at Anna Ruby Falls Visitor Center. Lower Observation Deck (Visitor Center) 996 square feet. Remove the complete steel handrail, to be reinstalled later. Remove and properly dispose of all decking, joists, beams, fasteners, steel structures, and footings off of government property. Recondition and refinish the handrail and install new redwood top rail. Construct new observation deck of 2x6 pressure-treated No.1 southern yellow pine, including providing new steel beams and new steel pipe columns. Reinstall refinished handrail. Upper Observation Deck (Falls) 928 square feet. The deck is at the end of a paved but relatively steep trail 0.4 miles long. Remove and dispose of the entire observation deck structure, including debris, branches and pieces that have been discarded around and underneath the structure, off of government property. Construct new observation deck of 2x6 pressure-treated No.1 southern yellow pine. Construct new benches.
