NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
CALL FOR TENDERS NO. 10006140
Sealed tenders in two copies, inserted in an envelope identified with the provided label and entitled "Cope Walls and Bollards rehabilitation at wharves 103N and 103S at the Port of Montreal ", will be received at the Montreal Port Authority's Office, Port of Montreal Building, Wing no. 1, Cité du Havre, Montreal, Quebec, H3C 3R5, until 10 o’clock, local time, Monday, July 7, 2008 when tenders will be opened in public. Tenders received after the above stipulated time will not be considered.
The contract generally consists in rehabilitation of the cope wall under the bollards as well as between them and repairs to cribs at wharves 103 North and 103 South. Works shall be done partly above an under the water level. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
    Repairs of desintegrated concrete of cope wall
    Repairs to concrete of wharf crib and injection of cracks;
    Repairs to extremities of the crib drainage conduits;
    Repairing existing ladder;
For their tender to be valid, contractors must comply with the following obligations:
    obtain the tender documents
    participate in the site visit and obtain the Confirmation of attendance form, signed by a representative of the Authority.
Please contact the purchasing agent for a site visit appointment before Tuesday, June 24, 2008. (Wearing a hard hat, traffic safety vest and work boots is mandatory): You are requested to meet at the Shell terminal Entrance, acces by Notre-Dame East Street corner Richard. A proof of identity with picture will also be required by the Security.
The Authority reserves the right to schedule other visits for the purpose of favouring healthy competition but makes no commitment to do so. Regardless of the Authority’s decision, it undertakes to communicate the same information to all Tenderers.
To be considered, the tender must include the following documents:
    Tender Guarantees.
    Letter confirming commitment to provide performance bond and wages, materials and services payment bond.
    Certified copy of its authorizing resolution or by-law.
    Signed confirmation of site visit, if necessary.
