(1) The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)/ National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) has received through the Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (the Borrower) a loan from “Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development” equivalent to Kuwait Dinars Nine (9) million towards the cost of Power Sector Development Project and it is intended that a part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the Contract for supply of Transmission Line material mentioned in clause 2 below for In & Out arrangement of one circuit of existing 220kV D/C Twin Bundle T/Line between Mangla & Ghakhar (Old) at 500 kV Ghakhar Substation which is a part of the scheme of electric energy dispersal from Ghazi Brotha Hydro-Electric Power Plant.
(2) NTDC/ WAPDA herein after called the “Purchaser” now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders herein after called the “Supplier” from Pakistan or any country except those which are subject to boycott in accordance with the laws of State of Kuwait and Islamic Republic of Pakistan for supply of following material.
(3) The manufacturers must have at least five (5) years design/manufacturing experience of identical goods/ equipments with same or higher rating and capacity and 3 years of successful continuous operational experience of the such goods/ equipments for which satisfactory operational certificates from the clients/ utilities indicating their names, address and fax Nos. To whom the said goods/ equipments have been delivered, shall be submitted along with the bid documents Moreover, the manufacturer should have manufactured/ delivered reasonable quantities of such goods/ equipments to the customers. Non-submission of evidences may render the bid non responsive.
(4) A margin of price preference to the eligible domestic bidders will be applicable in the evaluation of bids as laid down in the bidding documents.
(5) Interested bidders may obtain further information from the office of the undersigned.
(6) A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased from the office of the undersigned during office hours from 13.06.2008 till 29.07.2008 directly by the bidder or through his authorized representative on submission of a written application to the undersigned and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Rs.5,000/-.
(7) All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than two percent (2%) of total Bid Price and must be delivered to the undersigned at the address given blow on or before 11.00 A.M. on 30.07.2008. Late bids will be rejected Bids will be opened at 11:30 A.M. on 30.07.2008. in the presence of Bidders representatives who choose to attend.
(8) Bidders must bid for one or more complete lots. Bids covering only a part of the lot will be rejected.
