This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), New York Animal Import Center (NYAIC) intends to acquire general construction services to include the repair of two (2) incinerators at the facility in Rock Tavern, New York as identified in the statement of work to be provided with the solicitation document(s). The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to repair the incinerators as described in the solicitation document. As-built drawings are available and will be provided to the contractor for use at the site. The contractor shall update the as-built drawings under this project. All work is to be performed in accordance with the statement of work, required rules, regulations, standards, codes, ordinances and laws of the Local, State and Federal Government with legal jurisdiction over the site. This requirement is subject to the Davis Bacon wage rates for this locale. A payment bond is also required for this project. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. This procurement is a Full and Open Requirement which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract. The estimated construction cost is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be available on this website: www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about July 1, 2008. The solicitation # AG-32KW-S-08-0050 is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. Any additional specifics for this requirement will be posted with the solicitation document (Request for Proposals) which is anticipated to be released on or about July 1, 2008. The NAICs for this procurement is 238990 ($13.0 million). All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Proposals will be due no later than 5:00 p.m. local time (state of Maryland) on July 22, 2008.

This is a Modification to a Previous Pre-Solicitation Notice: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), New York Animal Import Center (NYAIC) intends to acquire general construction services to include the repair of two (2) incinerators at the facility in Rock Tavern, New York as identified in the statement of work provided with the solicitation document(s). This notice is to inform interested offerors that the solicitation (AG-32KW-S-08-0050) is posted to this website: www.FedBizOpps.gov. The closing date for receipt of proposals is revised to read July 23, 2008. Site visits may be scheduled with the program project manager. See paragraph 2.3 of the statement of work in the referenced solicitation. The successful offeror will be required to submit a payment bond prior to issuance of a notice to proceed (NTP). The Davis Bacon wage rates are applicable for this project (see the attachment to the solicitation). This is a request for proposals (RFP). Read and respond with a proposal in accordance with instructions for technical information and the evaluation criteria. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
