Expressions of interest

The Federative Republic of Brazil has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Additional Financing for the Federal Water Resources Management Project - PROÁGUA, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include: Water Quality Monitoring in Reservoirs of Paranapanema river.

The main objective of the service is to carry out a survey of the characteristics of the selected reservoirs and to collect water quality data in order assess the support capacity of the reservoirs in regard to the intake of Phosphorus, Nitrogen and load of organic matter.

The works include the following activities: water resources users survey; quantification of input and output of Phosphorus, Nitrogen and organic matter in the reservoirs; monitoring of the water quality in the reservoir; results of monthly and weekly laboratory analysis.

The timeline for accomplishing the assignment will be of 14 (fourteen) months, beginning from the date of the Service Authorization

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).
