Establish a Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO) for Parks
Canada, Terra Nova National Park, Glovertown, Newfoundland and
Labrador to supply Bulk Road Salt, on an as and when requested
basis, during the period from 01 September 2008 up to and
including 15 April 2009 with an option for a 1 month extension
as per Terms and Conditions stated in the Request and as
follows: Estimated Quantity approximately 2500 tones over the
period of the Standing Offer as per the following:

A. Initial call-up delivery of 1500 tonnes to be delivered by
September 30, 2008.
B. Remaining to be delivered in several lots, as required within
7-10 days after receipt of a call-up. Usually during
January/February sees 300 tonnes and February/March sees 300
tonnes. However, usage and weather conditions will control how
much is ordered.
C. Standing Offer to start September 1, 2008 and to be completed
April 15, 2009.
D. Specifications:
Highway salt to ASTM D632-72 (1978), type 1, grade 1 with not
more than 3/4 of 1% water by weight. 95% mimimun NACL.
Sieve analysis
- 100% passing 1/2" sieve
- 95%-100% passing 3/8"
- 20%-90% Passing#4 sieve
- 10%-60% passing #8 sieve
- 0%- 10% passing #30 sieve

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Price FOB Consignee.
- Delivery of salt to the compound, Terra Nova National Park to
be included as well as Storing of salt in, Terra Nova National
Park, salt sheds at compound to be included in unit Price.
- Chemical analysis to be supplied with delivery of material.
- Bulk delivery by the end of September 2008.
- Independent Verification of total quantity delivered is to be
provided/supplied by contractor before any payment.
- Delivery between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30, Monday to Friday.
- Salt not to be left in stockpile in compound in any type of
weather for longer than 2 hours.
- Interested Bidders should bring Salt into nearest port of call
to Terra Nova National Park for shipping to the Park's compound.

English.
