II.1.3) The notice involves: The establishment of a framework agreement.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Corrib
natural gas field is being developed as a subsea tie back to an onshore
processing facility. The gas will be piped ashore from the offshore wells
to a gas processing terminal at Bellanaboy Bridge, Co. Mayo, West of
Ireland, where it will be processed before it enters the Bord Gáis Éireann
national network. The field will provide up to 60 % of Irelands gas needs
at peak supply. Shell E&P Ireland Ltd ("Shell"), as operator of the Corrib
Gas Terminal, will require laboratory services (analysis), laboratory
consumables and contract laboratory staff throughout the operational phase
of the terminal.

INFORMATION ABOUT LOTS
LOT NO 1
TITLE: Laboratory Services (Analysis).
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION: The required analyses will include, but not be
limited to, the following: - Dissolved metals and heavy metals; -
Dissolved anions; - COD/TOC/BOD; - Dissolved organics: BTEX, TPH, PAH,
methanol; - Total nitrogen; - Phosphorus; - Microbiological enumeration; -
Conductivity, pH, suspended solids and density; and - Water content of
methanol, condensate and TEG. Types of sample will be water,
water/methanol mixtures, hydrocarbon condensate, natural gas and gas
emissions. The laboratory should preferably be accredited to ISO 17025 (or
equivalent) and a recognised international quality management standard ,
such as IS0 9001.

TITLE: Laboratory consumables
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION: Shell will require laboratory consumables for the
onsite laboratory at the Bellanaboy Bridge Terminal in Co. Mayo, West of
Ireland including but not limited to: - Glassware; - Laboratory reagents;
- Solvents; - Filters; - Sample containers; - personal protective
equipment and clothing; and - low value laboratory equipment.

LOT NO 3
TITLE: Contract Laboratory Staff
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION: Shell will require laboratory staff on a fixed term
contract basis at the Bellanaboy Bridge Terminal in Co. Mayo, West of
Ireland. The laboratory staff requirement will be for chemical analysts
that have a diploma, or equivalent, in analytical chemistry; a minimum of
2 years analytical laboratory experience and knowledge of HSE and quality
management systems. The chemical analyst responsibilities will be: -
Chemical analysis; - Set up, validation and optimisation of analytical
methods/equipment; - Interfacing with operations, process engineer,
process chemist and HSE; - Laboratory analytical method/apparatus in line
with quality system requirements; and - Management of projects and/or
services e.g. terminal sampling and analysis schedule.
