II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Communities
First is a holistic approach to tackling the multi-faceted consequences
and causes of poverty, disadvantage and deprivation.
The Welsh Assembly Government would like to commission expressions of
interest from organisations to provide information services and networking
opportunities to Communities First Partnerships. We would welcome
expressions of interest including from Consortia of Communities First
Partnerships and not for profit organisations. The information service
will be based on a central Web-Site with various other activities
including:
— Organisation of an Annual Communities First Conference,
— Organisation of Regional Co-ordinators Meetings,
— Management of Sharing of Best Practice and Case Studies and to encourage
Partnership to Partnership working.
This contract will be available for use by other government departments
and associated bodies with the prior written approval of the Authority.

III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: The awarding authority
reserves the right to request parent company and/or other guarantees of
performance and financial liability.

be indicated in the contract documents. Tenders to be priced in Sterling.
