This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division has a requirement for and is seeking sources to manufacture/assemble/test/inspect and produce the ADU-514A/E Small Missile Adapter (P/N 1763AS700-2) manufactured in conformance with Government furnished drawing package 1763AS700. The Navy intends to award a five year, firm fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) supply type contract for a firm requirement and minimum procurement of thirty six (36) and a potential maximum of one hundred fifty (150) additional Small Missile Adapters. The solicitation will be issued on a full and open competition basis. Offerors must be registered in the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the drawing package. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business. Delivery is FOB Destination 120 days after contract award. Five (5) First Article units are required and will become a part of the production quantity upon successful completion of First Article Testing. Inspection and Acceptance for first articles will be at origin by DCMA. The first article requirement may be waived for those offerors who can prove prior experience manufacturing this Small Missile Adapter. The solicitation will be available on or about 15 JUL 2008 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to the solicitation. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Submitting a bid from the NECO website by clicking on Submit Bid does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format. It is the responsibility of the offeror to download the RFP and to submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane.
