PROJECT NAME: Franklin County WRP Restoration�Structural Measures ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $250,000 and $500,000 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Construction contract to provide wetland dikes and works of improvement for wetland restoration of a large Wetlands Reserve Program Easement. Key items of work include construction of 11 wetland restoration dikes (approx. 63,700 CY earthfill) including two sheet piling weirs, 3 ditch plugs, removal of one existing dike, one existing concrete structure, and 2 existing pipes, as well as culvert replacements. PERFORMANCE TIME: Performance time is 112 calendar days, which includes mobilization and days for inclement weather, assuming a 10-hour work day and 5-day work weeks. SITE SHOWING: A site showing will be held at 1:00 pm. local time on Monday, June 30, 2008, at the Franklin County Farm Bureau building located at 362 Highway 14 West, Benton, IL (west on Route 14 from I-57 interstate exit). After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will be given a general tour of the construction site. SOLICITATION: It is anticipated that a solicitation for the work described in this notice will be issued electronically on June 27, 2008, at the Federal Business Opportunities web page http://www.fbo.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, interested parties are responsible for reviewing this site frequently for amendments to any and all documents.
