PROJECT DETAILS: The work to be performed consists of a bituminous asphalt chip seal application. The existing road, campground, and parking areas are located in the Hoh Rain Forest within the Olympic National Park. All paving repair and pre-level work will be completed by others prior to the contract. The estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The performance period is 60 calendar days. The solicitation will be posted at FEDBIZOPPS on or about June 27, 2008. Offers will be due approximately thirty days after the solicitation issue date. The location and date of the site visit will be included in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. LOCATION: The project location is on the 6-mile long Hoh Rain Forest Road and related paved areas within Olympic National Park. The Hoh Road extends off US Highway 101 at a location approximately 10 miles south of the city of Forks, Washington. From Highway 101, the road extends 12 miles east to the park boundary and then another six miles within Olympic National Park to the Hoh Visitor Center.
