c) Metal windows and doors contract.
d) Structural Steelwork Contract.
e) Mechanical Contract.
f) Electrical Contract.
g) Lift Contract.
h) Laboratory benching.
The contractor selected for lots (b) to (h) will be Nominated
Subcontractor to the Main Building Works. Further information and

SECTION III: LEGAL, ECONOMIC, FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: A contract performance bond of
25 % of awarded Contract Sum will be required.
III.1.2) Main financing conditions and payment arrangements and/or
reference to the relevant provisions regulating them: Form of Contract
will be the current version of GDLA 82 (with Quantities) Published by The
Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (with amendments) and payment
terms will be in accordance with provisions therein.

whom the contract is to be awarded: Legal entity consistent with company
law.
III.1.4) Other particular conditions to which the performance of the
contract is subject: Yes.

IV.2.1) Award criteria: The most economically advantageous tender in
terms of the criteria stated in the specifications, in the invitation to
tender or to negotiate or in the descriptive document.

SECTION VI: COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
VI.3) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: a) Time limits for completion or duration
of the contract for starting the works: Work to commence in 1st Quarter
2009 or as agreed. Completion in 2010. However, these dates can vary at
the discretion and with the agreement of the Contracting Authority;
b) Legal Form in case of group bidders: A grouping, if successful, must
attain such legal status as will enable them to contract as a single
entity, having joint and several liability;
c) Award Criteria: Most Economical and Advantageous Tender (MEAT);
d) Reference number attributed to the file by the Contracting;

e) The Royal College of Surgeons Ireland is a registered charity;
f) The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges
or expenses incurred by candidates or Tenderers, whether or not a final
contract is awarded;
g) Award of contract will be subjected to the approval of the competent
authorities;
h) This is the sole call for competition for this Contract;
i) It should be noted that the successful contractor will be required to
produce a valid Tax Clearance Certificate (C2) or statement of suitability
from the Irish Revenue Commissioners;
Invited Tenderers will be required to complete and sign a formal
declaration of Bona Fides to be submitted with their tenders;
j) Minimum Timeframe during which the tenderers must maintain its tender;
Three (3) calendar months after the end of the last day for submission of
this tender;
k) Persons authorised to be present at the opening of tenders; Clients
representatives and Design team.
