Council wishes to establish an Extra Care Housing Development on a site
currently owned by the Council in Long Lane, Grays which was formerly the
site of a residential home for older people known as Elizabeth House. It
is expected that the development will be built, owned and managed by a
partner organisation to whom the site will be transferred as part of the
project.
The Council intends to engage in a competitive dialogue with a shortlist
of interested organisations to make its preferred solution clear. At the
appropriate stage, one or more shortlisted organisations will be requested
to make a final detailed submission.
In addition to the development and management of the scheme, there will
also be contracts for domestic and housing support services. The degree to
which these contracts will be integrated with, or separate from the
management scheme will be determined as part of the competitive dialogue.
