1)This Invitation forbids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business (UNDB), Issue no 652 of April 16,2005.
2) The Government of Bangladesh has received a credit from the International Development Association Towards the cost of Health. Nutrition and Population Sector Program and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for Procurement of ‘Vehicles’ ICB NO.(G-644).
3) The Central Medical Stores Deport now invites sealed bids from eligible and Qualified bidders for supply of following (ICB NO.(G-644). Sub Package-A:- Cross Country Vehicles. Sub- Package-B : Ambulance. Sub-Package-C:- Microbus Sub- Package- D : Cinema van-( Jeep Type). Sub- Package- E : Double Cabin Pick Up. Sub- Package- F : Car, Sub- Package- G : Motor Cycle 100CC.
4) Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans IDA Credit, May2004, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as Defined in the Guidelines.
5) Interested Eligible bidders may obtain further information from the office of the Director. Store & Suppliers Tejgaon. Dhaka and Inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9.00 Hours to 17.00 Hours.
6) Qualification requirements include:- a)The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence /data to support that he has the financial and Production Capacity to perform the contract and complete the supplies in the stipulated delivery Period. B) Bidder or Manufacturer on whose behalf the agent is bidding should be a Manufacturer of the goods offered for the last three years and should have adequate availability of spare parts and after sale service facility for the offered goods. Documentary evidence (Client Certificate) shall be provided. C) Shall furnish Documentary evidence that goods meet quality requirements specified in the technical specification of the goods.
7) A Complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of BDT 1,000,00 (Bangladesh Taka One Thousand) or USD 20.00 (US Dollar Twenty), The method of payment will be either in Cashier’s or in Certified Cheque or in Pay Order or Bank Draft from any Scheduled Bank in Bangladesh.
8) Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 11.00 AM on 9/7/2008, Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be Rejected, Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend I person at the address below at 9/7/2008.All bids must be accompanied by bid security of The amount of the Bid Securities Shall be: Sub Pkg. 9) A pre-bid conference will be held on 09/06/08 in the office of the undersigned at 11-30.am. All bidders are requested to attend the conference in time.
