Expressions of interest

The Federative Republic of Brazil has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Additional Financing for the Federal Water Resources Management Project - PROÁGUA, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include the contract for the Preparation of the Water Resources Master Plans of Camaragibe and North Littoral Hydrographic Regions and Proposal of Classification in Class of Preponderant Uses of the Hydrographic River Basins located in these Regions in the State of Alagoas.

The main objective of the assignment is the preparation of the Water Resources Master Plans of Camaragibe and North Littoral Hydrographic Regions and Proposal of Classification in Class of Preponderant Uses of the Hydrographic River Basins located in these Regions in the State of Alagoas that provides the technical orientations and political and institutional strategies, necessary to the improvement of the Water Resources Management in Alagoas. The services should include the current water resources situation and draw up sectorial plans and programs for implementing the Water Resources Policy of Alagoas, establishing the criteria to prioritize the actions in the river basins of that State.

The deadline for accomplishing the assignment will be of 12 (twelve) months, beginning from the date of the Service Authorization.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).
