1. The Republic of Uzbekistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Western Uzbekistan Rural Water Supply Project. Part of the proceeds of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bids are open to bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2. The Ministry of Economy, represented by the ADB Project Management Unit (PMU), (the Employer) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and rehabilitation of 5 water distribution centers with supply and installation of desalination units, boreholes, construction of trunk mains (6km) and water networks (9km) in Kegeyli of the Republic of Karakalpakstan:

3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single Stage: One-Envelope Bidding Procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

Experience under construction contracts in the role of contractor, subcontractor, or management contractor for at least the last 5 years prior to the applications submission deadline each with a value of at least US$2 million that have been successfully or are substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works. The similarity shall be based on the physical size, complexity, methods, technology or other characteristics.
Minimum average annual construction turnover of US$3,1 million calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 3 years and the following cash-flow requirement, US$175 000.
Should have equipment, Hydraulic Excavator (0.5m3) in quantity 5, Crawler Crane (5t) in quantity 2, Front-End Loader in quantity 1, Dump truck (5t) in quantity 5, Compressors in quantity 1, and Boring machine in quantity 1.
Should have personnel, Resident Contract Manager, Senior Project Engineer, and Senior Supervisor.
