The Government of the Gambia has received a credit from the International Development
Association toward the cost of Gateway Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the groundnut sub sector roadmap implementation framework.

Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA), the implementing agency of the Gateway Project now invites separate sealed bids marked Supply of General Spare Parts, Maintenance and Rehabilitation

Lot 1 of 4: Barge Unloading Facility: Supply of Spares & Rehabilitation
Lot 2 of 4: Supply of Depot Spare-Parts
Lot 3 of 4: Supplies of General & Miscellaneous Spares
Lot 4 of 4: Rehabilitation /Refurbishment and Construction of Tank-Farms

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information, and inspect the bidding documents, at the office of the Chief Executive , Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA), at the address given below from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and 9.00 am to12.00 on Fridays.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders who appear in person, or submit a written application, to the Chief Executive, Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA), at the address given below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee by Cheque or wire transfer (made payable to the Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA) or cash. The fee is D2000 (two thousand dalais) if the bidder picks up the documents at the Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA). The fee is double this amount if the bidder wants the documents sent by courier mail.

Bids must be delivered to the Chief Executive, Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA), at the address given below on or before 8th July 2008 at 12:00 am. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than D20, 000 of the Bidder’s bid price or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the conference room of Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA) at 12:30 am on 8th July 2008.
