INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam has received a Credit from the International Development Association in various currencies toward the cost of System Efficiency Improvement, Equitization and Renewables Project (SEIERP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to eligible payments under the contracts for supply of equipment and materials for the Krongbuk-EaH’leo 110kV line and EaH’leo 110kV substation for which this invitation for bids is issued.
POWER COMPANY No3 (PC3) of VIETNAM ELECTRICITY now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of the following packages of equipment and materials for the said line and substation:
Package 2: Electrical switchgear and equipment
Package 3: Insulators and accessories
Package 4: Conductors, groundwires, underground cables and accessories
Package 5: Steel towers
Package 7: Optical groundwires and accessories
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from POWER COMPANY No.3 and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9th June 2008 during office hours.
A complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased from 9th June 2008 by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee as follows:
Package 3: USD 50 or VND 800,000
Package 4 and package 7: USD 100 or VND 1,600,000
Package 2 and package 5: USD 200 or VND 3,200,000.
The document may be sent by courier, if required, upon payment of the said amount for the bidding document plus express courier fee of USD 75 abroad or VND 100,000 locally to the accounts of PC3 at the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam - Danang Branch (Address: 140 Le Loi Str., Danang, Vietnam); Account No. 0041370012061 for USD and 0041.000.000.800 for VND.
Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 8h30 (Hanoi time), 25th July 2008. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8h45 (Hanoi time), 25th July 2008.
