SUPPLY OF DIESEL GENERATORS

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, Issue No. 677 of 30th April, 2006.
2. The Government of Southern Sudan has received a Grant from the Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) through the International Development Association (IDA) (hereinafter called “Grant”) toward the cost of the Livestock and Fisheries Development Project. The Grant Recipient intends to apply a portion of the funds to eligible payments under the contract for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.
3. The Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply and delivery of the following:

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits 2004 edition revised 2006 and are open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries – Head office – Juba; e-mail address makweim@yahoo.com and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 0900 hrs to 1700hrs Sudan local time, from Monday to Friday exclusive of public holidays.
6. Qualifications requirements include: The bidder should have financial and technical capacity to supply all the required generators and be registered /incorporated in an Eligible member country. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of SDG 400 (four hundred Sudanese Pounds) or USD 200 (two hundred United States Dollars). The method of payment will be cash or bank transfer (A/C JB (G) 018016, in The Nile Commercial Bank - Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries. The Bidding Documents will be sent by express courier or as an email attachment.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday, 9th July, 2008. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend in person or on-line at the address below at 11.00 a.m on Wednesday, 9th July, 2008. All bids must be accompanied by Bid security of USD 1,400.00 for Lot 1 and USD 1,200.00 for Lot 2.
