Construction, Supply and Installation of Ahwaz Eastern Influent Main Trunk and Pump Station; PSE9 [ref no. Contract AS-11R]

This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No 651 of 7th of November 2006.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Ahwaz & Shiraz Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Construction, Supply and Installation of Ahwaz Eastern Influent Main Trunk and Pump Station; PSE9. The Ahwaz Water and Wastewater Company intends to pre-qualify contractors and/or firms for Construction, Supply and Installation of Ahwaz Eastern Influent Main Trunk and Pump Station; PSE9. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in October 2008. Interested local bidders shall have a minimum Grade of 2 in Water discipline and minimum Grade of 3 in Facilities & Equipment according to the Grade classification of Management and Planning Organization of Iran.
Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Ahwaz Water and Wastewater Company (address below) from 7:30 a.m to 15:30 p.m. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 2,000,000 Iranian Rial or in 200 Euro. The method of payment will be paying the Pre-qualification document's fee to account No: 3101-810-8585850-1, Bank Passargad , Kiyanpars Branch in Ahwaz, Branch Code:3101, Swift Code: BKBPIRTH. The document will be sent by DHL or handed over to representative of contractors.
Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by 19th of July 2008 and be clearly marked “Application to Pre-qualify of “Construction, Supply and Installation of Ahwaz Eastern Influent Main Trunk and Pump Station; PSE9 – Contract AS 11R”
