Limited wishes to appoint a Supplier to provide a Contract Management
Service Concession for the production, print, distribution and advertising
sales of the All-Island Ireland Market Books.
Tourism Ireland Limited was established under the framework of the Belfast
Agreement of Good Friday 1998 to promote increased tourism to the island
of Ireland. A key component of Tourism Ireland Limited operations is the
production of an all-island market book to act as the main fulfilment
piece for all enquiries, advertising responses and for distribution at
trade and consumer promotions, through travel agents and tour operators
specialising in Ireland.
A total of 13 market books in 10 different languages will be produced for
the following markets:
Great Britain, United States, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, France,
Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Spain and
Finland.
The supplier will generate revenue through the successful sale of
advertising space in each of the Ireland Market Books. This revenue will
be sufficient to cover the following services:
— Suppliers Costs and Profit Margin,
— Cost of pre-press, print and distribution of the Ireland Market Books,
— A financial return to Tourism Ireland Limited.
And may also be used to fund additional services drawn from the following
list (please note that not all the services listed will be required in
year one):
— Design of the Market Books,
— Development of digital copies (e-brochures) of the Market Books and
supply of usage stats,
— Advising and sourcing Photography including specific commissions,
— Generation of Advertorial Content,
— Test printing (Wet Proofs) of Market Books prior to full print runs,
— Copyrighting, Editing and Proofreading of written content,
— Purchasing of Paper in bulk to print the Market Books,
— Pre and On-Press Proofing and Approval of Printed Books (including
design and advertising content).
It is envisaged that as a minimum the concessionaire may have to provide
the following services in the first year:
— Advertising Sales to generate revenue,
— Design of the Market Books,
— Pre-press, print and distribution of the Ireland Market Books,
— Development of the e-brochures digital publications of the Market Books,
— Management and Administration of the Project.
