Interest Manifestation

The State of Bahia has received a loan from the World Bank for the implementation of the Bahia Road Transportation Project, planning on applying part of the loan resources on admissible payments for the Selection of the Consultant Company. The services include technical planning and operations for the realization of research on:

1) Origin/destination and complementary research: research in the route of contour and “screen line” in the metropolitan region of Salvador, from the state of Bahia road transportation system, having as specific goals, the knowing of:

1. Quantify and characterize the internal trips, external or the ones that cross cities in the metropolitan region of Salvador.
2. Characterize the matrix of trips between the traffic zones existents in the metropolitan region of Salvador.
3. Identify the motive and frequency of the trips realized and the used modality of transportation.
4. Identify the generation zones and the trip attractions.

2) Arrivals and departures on intercity bus routes of the state of Bahia road transportation system, having as specific goals, the knowing of:

1. Register the passenger movement (arrivals and departures) in each of the route stop with correspondent travel miles informing the cargo and the number of passengers equivalent in each part of the route or section and at the end the value of the number of passengers equivalent to the total of travel miles in each route.
2. Identify the profile of renovation of passengers throughout the itinerary of the system route.
3. Keep demand data and service offers up to date.
4. Confirm the itinerary realized by the bus dealerships.
5. Keep other operation data up to date..

The DERBA – Department of Transport Infrastructure of Bahia, as executive organ of the loan, invites electives companies to the presentation of interest expression with visits to the consultant services supply. The companies who are interested must demonstrate that are qualified to accomplish the services (paperbacks, declaration of rendering of services of similar nature and their descriptions, experience in similar conditions, staff availability with appropriate competence, curriculum-vitae, ect.). The information supplied includes at minimum: (I) social capital available; (II) demonstrated experience on the realization of technical planning and operations of road transportation research; and (III) experience of working teams at the planning of road transportation research.
The companies may associate to better qualify.

The companies will be selected according to the World Bank procedures, included on
Guidelines:Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers(current edition).
