National Highway Authority (NWFP Region) intends to execute the following Maintenance Contract through pre-qualified contractors enlisted with NHA, NWFP Region for the FY 2007-2008.
Tender documents can be obtained from the Office of Director (Maintenance) up to 26th May 2008 during office hours by depositing a non-refundable fee as mentioned above through demand draft / pay order in favour of General Manager (NWFP) NHA, Peshawar.
Sealed tenders will be received on 27th May 2008 up to 12.00 hour and will be opened on the same date at 1230 hours in the presence of the bidders or their authorized representative, who may like to attend.
Conditions for Issuance of Tender Documents: i) All bidders / contractors must ensure to deposit earnest money at the time of purchase of tender documents otherwise tenders would not be issued. ii) Conditional tenders and tenders not accompanied with earnest money in shape of call deposit from schedule bank and attested copies of registered partnership deeds and power of attorney in case of firms, will not be entertained.
iii) Blank tender forms would be issued to the concerned / pre-qualified contractor o their authorized representatives on production of authority letter along with photocopy of the National Identity Card.
iv) An affidavit shall be annexed along with the profile mentioning no litigation is pending.
v) To submit written undertaking that the applicants firms had never been black listed and /or it was but later on cleared. A copy of such withdrawal may be provided.
vi) Original Registration Certificate of Pakistan Engineering Council for the year 2007 would be presented by all interested bidders before collecting tender documents.
vii) Maximum two tenders would be issued to the firm/Contractor pre-qualified in that category and the concerned firm/contractors would be eligible only for award of one contract at a time and no other tender would be opened / entertained in case of being lowest in the earlier contract.
viii) The successful bidder shall be required to submit performance guarantee, which shall be in the form of Bank Guarantee equal to 10% of the contract amount or in form of Insurance Guarantee equal to 30% of contract amount. Bidders shall also be required to submit rate analysis for any major items of bid below or above 15%. Any bidder, submitting an unsatisfactory low bid shall not be eligible to take part in re-tender of the same contract.
Any additional information / clarification on these tenders may be obtained from the office of Director (Maintenance) NWFP, National Highway Authority, Peshawar during office hours.
National Highway Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
