INVITATION TO APPLY FOR ELIGIBILITY AND TO BID

The University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) through its Bids and Awards Committee - Infrastructure (BAC-Infrastructure), invites contractors registered with and classified by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) to apply for eligibility and if found eligible, to bid for the hereunder project:

Description: Provision of Soil Erosion Mitigation Structure (Rip-Rap)

Location: Between SU Building and Baker Hall

Approved Budget (P): 2,346,949.47

Project Duration: 75 calendar days

Bidding Fee (P): 3,500

Prospective bidders should possess a valid PCAB license applicable to the contract (Small B - Irrigation and Flood Control , minimum requirement), have completed a similar contract with a value of at least 50% of the ABC, and have key personnel and equipment (as listed in the Eligibility Forms) available for the implementation of the contract. The BAC-Infrastructure will use non-discretionary pass/fail criteria in the eligibility check/screening as well as the preliminary examination of bids. The BAC-Infrastructure will conduct post-qualification of the lowest calculated bid.

All particulars relative to eligibility check, bid security, performance security, pre-bid conference, evaluation of bids, post-qualification, and award of contract shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of RA 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulation-A (IRR-A).

The BAC-Secretariat will issue to prospective bidders eligibility forms upon submission of letter of intent. Prospective bidders shall be notified of the results of the eligibility check through fax.

The bidding documents shall be issued only to the bidders declared by the BAC-Infrastructure to be eligible for the bidding upon payment of a non-refundable bidding fee to the UPLB Cashier's Office.

The UPLB assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of their bids.
