SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

II.1.3) The notice involves: A public contract.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): In the tender
documents for "Express boat routes in Møre og Romsdal" which was recently
subject to tender publication, chapter 7, reporting, 7.1. Real time
computer system (STD) provides the following information: "A real time
computer system will be used. The Awarding Authority will provide
necessary equipment and software. For each vessel, continuous position and
time data from the vessel and when the vessel arrives and departures the
port, will be dispatched and stored. The Awarding Authority and the
passengers shall be able to observe where the vessels are located at any
time, the vessels' speed, and expected arrival/departure – both on
monitors and on the Internet. The real time computer system shall also
provide the Awarding Authority information of shutdown as soon as this
occurs and provide new reports if the shutdown lasts more than 8 hours.
Consequently the purpose of the real time computer system is divided in 2:
1. Real time route information to travellers.
2. Non-conformance reports to the Awarding Authority as regards to quality
of the executed journey.
