This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT by ACA Directorate of Contracting, 4118 Susquehanna Ave., Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD., using the simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 12) to procure the following: 10 rolls Custom Cable, MFG# OSK2228, 350 EA male/female connector, MFG# OTP-K-MF, 350 EA male/female connector, MFG# MTP-K-MF, 10 rolls of Insuated T/C Wire, MFG# TT-K-24-TWSH-SLE-500.

The Government intends to award a sole source contract in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 for the above product to Omega Engineering, Inc. One Omega Dr., Stamford, CT 06907. Note: This firm is the sole manufacturer of the custom products listed above. The cables along with the peripherals must be compatible with existing cables and wire that is currently in use by the Government. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements.

All responses received within 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
