Assignment Title: Preliminary Assessment of Sediment Quality

Assignment Country: Indonesia

Assignment Description

Preliminary analysis and assessment of sediment quality in 18 rivers, canals, drains, and waduks (retention basins) in Jakarta proposed for dredging, where the first 15 canals/drains/waduks will be implemented in the first phase of the proposed project. The main goal is to obtain an overall description of the sediment quality in the waterways of Jakarta in order to determine the destination of the sediments after dredging. Severely contaminated sediments need to be stored in isolated disposal sites; non to lightly contaminated sediments may be beneficially re-used.

Funding Source:

The World Bank intends to finance the assignment/services described below under a budget allocation for the Bank's administrative budget.

There are no eligibility restrictions.

Individual/Firm Profile:
The consultant will be a firm or consortium.

Submission Requirements:
The World Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

Interested consultants are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest.
