The government of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Water Supply and sanitation project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for Hwassa town water supply and sanitation project consultant services. The services include providing Detail Design for new sources and conducting contract administration and construction supervision of the project. The service is provided in phases as specified below.

Phase -1- Among others the consultant shall perform detail design for the proposed source, cost estimate, financial analysis, implementation schedule, drowning and bill of quantities specification bidding and contract documents. During its assignment the consultant will carry out through financial and the economic analysis of the project and develop a full cost recovery tariff for the project.

Phase -2- The phase 2 will begin on instruction by the client after review and acceptance of the phases I assignment. Among other things under this phase the consultant shall assists the clients in tendering contract administration and will carry out construction supervision work.

Awassa Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise now invite eligible consultant to indicate their interest in providing the service. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the service [broachers; description of similar assignments experience staff etc.] Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers
