Prequalification of General Contractors (Building Construction)

The National Capital Commission (NCC) invites General Contractors to respond to this Request for Prequalification for building construction work and associated site work for proposed upgrades of existing blocs sanitaires of the Lac Philippe campground in Gatineau Park, Québec. The prequalification will also be valid for other potential small scale rehabilitation, repair or construction projects in Gatineau Park.

This prequalification is to select General Contractors for up to six (6) separate contracts. The prequalified General Contractors will be invited to bid on assigned tender package(s) of separate values in the range of $ 100K to $ 500K.

It is expected there will be a minimum of one (1) bid package tendered as a result of this pre-qualification. However, should circumstances require, there may be additional packages tendered to the pre-qualified General Contractors for work associated to Gatineau Park, Québec. Pre-qualifications resulting from this request will be recognized by the NCC to the end of November 2011.

The NCC anticipates tendering contract documents for the first package for the upgrade to the changeroom bloc sanitaires at the Plage Breton site in the Lac Philippe campground in July 2008 for September 2nd start of construction. The work is in the Province of Québec.

Request for Pre-Qualification documents can be obtained from MERX.

Prequalification documents may be viewed at both the Ottawa and the Outaouais Construction Associations.

There will be no public opening for this Request for Pre-Qualification.

The procurement process of this tender is subject to Chapter 5 of the Agreement on Internal Trade.
